One common drawback is the limited seating area, which can lead to wait times during busier periods. Diners have reported that arriving without a pre-order can result in an hour-long wait for food, leading to some frustration. While the atmosphere is casual, some may find it a bit cramped when the restaurant is full. Another point of concern for some customers is the cash-only policy, which might be inconvenient for those expecting to use cards. Despite these minor issues, the quality of the food and the overall experience tend to outweigh any negatives.
The food was so good for a very reasonable price. All homemade even the burger (patty and bread), it was delicious, generous portions freshly cooked, kind owners, very authentic Moroccan cuisine, the wait can be long but it’s really worth it. The only downside is that it was not a lot of sitting places
Outstanding food! Love the freshly made burgers, my favourite being the lamb burger. The fresh bread makes such a difference to the food. They also do lovely tagines. The customer service is excellent and run by a lovely family. Can get busy quite quickly so I like to order my food before hand for take away.
Very good food, first time to have Moroccan food and good for me. We ordered Tajine Lamb be Berook,Harira soup and Flat bread. The bread is freshly baked I love so much. And the lamb is good, with a bit sweet by nuts.
This food was delicious. Even the bread was freshly made not just packet of those typical dry arabic flat breads many places serve, they were thick and crisp on the outside soft inside, yum. Meat was melt off the bone, in a delicious stew gravy with onions, apricots and prunes. Might be worth ordering it to be ready for you as a bit of a wait.
Amazing freshly cooked traditional Moroccan food, very reasonably priced. YOU MUST ORDER IN ADVANCE as everything was made from scratch. We were a group of 8 guys traveled from different parts of NW for the first time to try this place out and OMG it was beyond our expectations. We waited for hour an a half for our food because we didnt order in advance but it was worth the wait. Lamb Tajin, meatballs Tajin, Lamb cuscus the freshly baked bread is to die for. Everything was piping hot and stayed warm until we scraped the pots. We have not had Tajin like this in Morocco. It’s honestly a hidden gem and i am sure its going to be our go to place now.
went to red marrakech because we’ve never had morrocan food before and we were completely blown away! restaurant was super small and cozy, and was run by a husband-wife duo. we ordered the al hommous, lamb tajine and moroccan flatbread and everything was made upon order so it was piping hot (amazing). the only thing is that because its made upon order, the wait time is a bit longer than usual but we honestly didn’t mind it cause it was worth the wait 🤣 highly recc!
Authentic as it gets! Not the biggest of places and limited seats. So it’s privilege to have eaten here. Starters The spicy chick peas which were awesome and full of flavour. The garlic bread was fresh and fluffy Main Chicken Zeytoun Tagine (Olive and Lemon) 10/10! Succulent chicken flavoured in the this lemon gravy with olives and topped with fries. Yummy 😋 Very filling portions! The owner and chef Nur is a friendly man and very welcoming. Coming back soon for more!
